Would you like to get involved with Efrem Foundation and help a child heal from loss? Our community could benefit from your unique story, skills, and talents.
Efrem Foundation runs “lean and mean” which means volunteers are essential to every aspect of our mission. Whether you’ve experienced loss as a child, helped a child recover, or would just like to make a difference, we could use your help.
(Please note: a background check may be required for roles with direct contact with children. Contact us for more info.)
Would you like to mentor a child? Do you know how to play an instrument? We need musicians and non-musical mentors who will commit to working with a child for a set period of time, helping them heal.
Counselors and Researchers
We rely on a team of licensed mental health care professionals and educators to help guide the surviving parents or guardians through the stages of a child’s grief. These counselors handle intake, answer questions and develop individual action plans for each child. In addition, researchers keep track of our progress to help us improve the way we serve children.

Community Organizers and Supporters
Have you always wanted to organize a charity event, like a walkathon, golf tournament or a benefit concert? We need your help to spread the word. Here are some ideas, but you can come up with your own too.
- Run a marathon and ask friends to sponsor you as a donation to Efrem.
- Pledge your birthday. Ask friends and family to donate your age on your birthday.
- Donate an instrument.
- Involve your children – find ways for them to raise money or donate.
- Have any other ideas? We’d love to hear your suggestions.
